The League of Heroes resides on the "minor server" Quel'Thalas. It's hard to sum up the guild in a few short words. We are not a hardcore raiding guild nor are we a PvP guild. That said, we enjoy doing instances together and are on our way into Kara. A lot of us quite enjoy PvP and we have a number of Arena teams. We are certainly not a twinks guild, but we do have a few twink alts. We don't take things too seriously, but we don't use that as an excuse to be irresponsible Leeroys. We are focussed more towards endgame activities, so our recruitment is oriented towards 60+. Then again, we prefer to have players we know, so their lower level alts are more than welcome to level within the guild.
What a lot of players notice about the League of Heroes, when they are fortunate to join a guild run, is that we are a nice group of people - polite, fair, relaxed, competent, forgiving, helpful. We hope that our guild is never associated with ninjas or the types who accuse others of being "noobs" to hide their own feelings of inadequacy. If we aren't the server's best in class we accept that and try to get better by learning from mistakes, rather than ignoring them and blaming unfortunate incidents on someone else. If someone else makes a mistake, we give them the opportunity to learn from it, rather than shaming them in public. No-one was born imba.
The guild is led by a group of equals, the "Guild Lords". A number of them have been Guild Master at different points in time and there is nothing stopping any Guild Lord from taking up the largely administrative Guild Master role if needs be. Attaining Guild Lord rank is not something that anyone should expect as a matter of course, it takes many months before any new guild member will be elevated to Guild Lord and the rank is awarded for loyalty, positive engagement in guild affairs and maturity.
Under the Guild Lords there is a rank dedicated to assisting guild members of specific classes (effectively a Class Leader). Thereafter we have the Knight ranks, in descending order Knight Marshall (70), Knight General (60-69), Knight Commander (50-59) and Knight Captain (40-49). Those under level 40 are Senior Squires (up to level 40), Junior Squires (up to level 20) or Pages (under level 5). Attaining Knight rank is dependent on two things, reaching level 40 and signing up to this forum. Knights have increasingly higher levels of access to the Guild Vault as they rise in rank. Guild Lords have sufficient access to allow them to service the needs of more junior members.
